Dear Members, I am proud to once again have the opportunity to run for a position on the committee of Wikimedia Australia. I first mooted the idea of an Australian chapter almost four years ago and with the support of so many dedicated people we have made it a reality. Without these people there would be no Wikimedia Australia today.

I am currently an ordinary member on our 2008-9 committee and believe the first elected committee of Wikimedia Australia has achieved a great deal in its first year but there is still alot of work to be done. Some of the things I would like to see WMA achieve in this term are getting approvals for fundraising, trying to get deductible gift recipient status, freeing more content, developing relationships with educators and improve regional participation as Andrew mentioned in his statement.

For more information about who I am, see my statement from last year: 2008-2009 AGM/Ordinary Members/Nathan Carter
