Wikimedia Australia is run by a committee that is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.

The committee comprises four office-bearers and four "ordinary" members.

The current committee was elected on 25 August 2019 at the 2019 AGM.

Committee meeting minutes are recorded on the Committee wiki initially, and then after being accepted by a subsequent meeting are posted here to the public wiki (sometimes with redactions of personally identifiable information). The most recent meeting was on 15 January 2024.

Pru Mitchell is based in Melbourne and works in the education and GLAM sectors, and is interested in furthering the objectives of Wikimedia in those areas.

Robert Myers

Robert Myers is from the Riverina region of New South Wales and has been contributing to English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons for over ten years. Most of his time is spent on taking and uploading photographs for Wikimedia Commons, which are uploaded under a free-use license. He recently completed studying Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design in Photography at Charles Sturt University, currently working as a sessional seminar leader at the University of Sydney and volunteers for the RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre and in the NSW RFS Aviation Support.

Steven Crossin

Steven Crossin

Steven Crossin is from Melbourne and has been editing Wikimedia projects for over ten years. On wiki, most of his activities include dispute resolution and mediation, including improving processes and helping out at the dispute resolution noticeboard, which he created. He has previously worked for the Wikimedia Foundation as a research fellow.

He has previously been on the committee from since 2012 (with a break for most of 2017) to and served as its President for the 2013-2015 period.

Caddie Brain

Caddie Brain is an independent creative producer/curator based in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. In 2016 she began Wikiclub NT, a ongoing series of meet-ups update and create new pages about Northern Territory people, places and histories.

  1. 1.0 1.1 The AGM was held on 8 October 2018, with three ordinary committee member vacancies. Caddie Brain and Julian Singh both nominated during the 2018 AGM. Steven Crossin was co-opted after the AGM.
  2. The AGM was held on 8 October 2017, with one ordinary committee member vacancy. On 6 November 2017, Robert Whyte co-opted to the committee as ordinary member.
  3. The position of Treasurer recieved no nomination and was declared vacant at the AGM, and a call went out for applicants. No responses were received, so the Secretary assumed the Treasurer position under Section 76 of the Act on 28 October 2015, and a resolution ratifying this passed Committee on 31 October 2015.
  4. The AGM was held on 11 October 2015, with two general committee member vacancies. On the 18th October, Steven Crossin was co-opted to fill one of the vacancies.
