Wikimedia Australia Inc. (WMAU) is a chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, which is a service provider of wikis, notably Wikipedia, the award-winning online encyclopedia.

What is the mission of the Chapter ?

Are you a charity?

Wikimedia is a non-profit association organised under the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Which projects do you support?

WMAU supports all of the projects run by the Wikimedia Foundation, and our members are actively contributing to many of the projects.

How is the chapter run?

The Wikimedia Australia chapter is currently being organised by an Interim Committee, charged with the task of establishing the organisation and holding the initial AGM.

This site includes a complete list of Committee meetings and resolutions.

Most of the interaction between committee members, members and community happens online, on our wikis, on mailing lists, and through electronic chat (IRC). Face-to-face meetings occasionally occur in each capital city.

The Rules are available online.

How can I contact the Chapter?
