The Australian chapter of the international Wikimedia Foundation, Wikimedia Australia is run by a volunteer committee of four office-bearers and four ordinary members.

Committee 2022

President - Amanda Lawrence is a research fellow at RMIT University in Melbourne and has also worked as a librarian and project manager in the public policy and GLAM sectors. She is interested in furthering the open research and knowledge commons movements as well as contributing to Wikipedia content editing and community engagement. Vice-President - Dr Bunty Avieson is a researcher at University of Sydney. She is also a member of the Wikipedia Affiliations Committee (AffCom), Women Write Wiki and WikiProject Bhutan. Email: bunty.avieson-at-wikimedia.org.au

Secretary - Alex Lum is originally from Hobart, Tasmania, and is currently living in Melbourne working in the higher education sector. He has been an editor on Wikipedia since 2005, an administrator on the English Wikipedia since 2008, and is a prolific contributor to Wikidata and OpenStreetMap. Email: alex.lum-at-wikimedia.org.au

Treasurer - Pru Mitchell is based in Melbourne and works in the education and GLAM sectors, and is interested in furthering the objectives of Wikimedia in those areas. Email: pru.mitchell-at-wikimedia.org.au

Ordinary Member - Tom Hogarth is a former Secretary of the WMAU, and lives in Perth, Western Australia on the Swan Coastal Plain. Executive Officer

Caddie Brain (she/her) is Wikimedia Australia's inaugural Executive Officer. Her wiki journey began in 2016 when she formed Wikiclub NT, a editing club in the Northern Territory that facilitated the doubling of pages about the region in just two years. More recently she coordinated the Know My Name partnership with the National Gallery of Australia before becoming Wikimedia Australia's first staff member in 2021. With a background in community technology and communications, she has produced countless hours of radio, exhibitions, augmented reality audio tours, machine learning prototypes and emoji sets. Her work has earned numerous awards including recognition at the Webby Awards and Prix Ars Electronica. She recently completed a Master in Applied Cybernetics.
