Concluding remarks

2018-19 was my last term as Treasurer, most of the problems (e.g. Bendigo Bank) were sorted, there were a few things that had popped up in my last term and some of these will require the new incoming Treasurer to investigate and look at ways of over coming these.

One of the issues was the credit card, Westpac requires the individual to assume liability over the card, this means we cannot hand over the card but to go through a new process of ordering a new card with that person also assuming liability. There needs to be an easier way for something that is a complex and time consuming task. Another issue we have is with Xero, only one person can be attached to the subscription and there is no way of backing up of all the historic information to transfer to a different system or to keep as a back up. Xero also makes it quite hard to track our Simple APG expenses, which means we need to keep this information on a seperate Excel sheet.

I wish Gideon all the best after his six terms on Committee, four as Vice President and two as President. He was also an official observer in 2009 and has been the organiser of Wiki Loves Earth, and Wiki Loves Monuments. I would also like to wish Tom all the best after four terms on Committee, three as Secretary and one as an Ordinary Committee Member.
