The state of Victoria has a wealth of public art assets on permanent public display. While those in the city of Melbourne are well-documented, there are many significant works throughout regional Victoria that only known locally. There is no centralised location for gathering information on these works, the artists or and their locations. As part of the Australian Heritage Festival, National Trust (Victoria) convened an evening workshop with Alex Lum and Pru Mitchell on Tuesday 7 May 2019 to raise awareness of the project and work on plans to add public art works to Wikidata.
