=== Edit-a-thons ===
Looking to hold an edit-a-thon? Not sure where to start?
An edit-a-thon can take many forms, but essentially it is an event where groups of new or experienced people get together to learn how to edit Wikipedia together, either face-to-face or online. Sometimes these events are based around a theme (like increasing the number of articles about women on Wikipedia) or a target (10 new Wikipedia pages).
If you're thinking of holding an edit-a-thon, here's some things to get you started!
* Before running an edit-a-thon, make sure you've undertaken some basic online training yourself and have done at least a little bit of editing. We recommend two main modules to get you started:
**[https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training/editing-wikipedia Wikipedia basics for new editors]
**[https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training/editathons Running Editathons and other Editing Events]

* [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SUjQW0yXyww-iwUgZ5soFbPeL7xqQccn/view?usp=sharing Printable Wikipedia editing guide for attendees (PDF)] and/or [https://artandfeminism.org/resources/getting-started/quick-guides-for-editing/ Art+Feminism Editing Guide]
* Edit-a-thon runsheet template for [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dyRvYcrhYEMVgwSGdVZUYcDNLf_-5GX0CK0PFHWSTwg/edit?usp=sharing face-to-face] or [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EUcoRPWyECwPwVqZa69oXUN0_NutCQ15wRJsYO_-0ts/edit?usp=sharing online] - Please duplicate and rename the document before editing it.
* [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NTEsl8z4Z_TI5P3RHk-W9F7d4S9kve2Hwk9OjyDo-_o/edit?usp=sharing Editable suggested content spreadsheet] to prepare what participants work on. The more preparation, the better! Please duplicate and rename the document before editing it.
* [https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/ Create a Dashboard] to automatically collect data on what participants did at your event. [https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training/learning-and-evaluation/using-the-dashboard Training on how to use the Dashboard is available here.]
Get in touch! Wikimedia Australia is here to help. We have a network of experienced facilitators to offer training and support at edit-a-thons. We can also help promote your event. Email us at: contact@wikimedia.org.au

==== The Wiki-GLAMR Training Program ====
There are so many opportunities for galleries. libraries, archives, museums and record management (GLAMR) to grow their impact through Wikipedia and other Wikimedia platforms.
Wikimedia Australia has developed a special four-part training program for GLAMR organisations in our region. We can either offer this training to your staff or your can download the following resources and either undertake the training yourself or guide your team.
* Module 1 - An introduction to the Wikimedia Movement
* Module 2 - How Wikipedia Works
* Module 3 - Organisational Wikipedia Strategy
* Module 4 - An introduction to Wikidata
