The Wikimedia Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which hosts and supports a range of projects that contain information about Australia and Australians. Some of these projects include: Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, Wikibooks and Wikinews, as well as projects in 266 languages.
Wikimedia Australia shares and supports the Wikimedia Foundation's goals but does not manage these projects and is not responsible for their content. Volunteers editing from all over the world contribute the material hosted on the Wikimedia projects and we encourage our members and supporters to have a look and consider joining Wikimedia's mission to support the production of free content.
