- 6–7 December: LangCamp 2012, a workshop organised by Wikimedia Australia to support non-English languages in Indonesia and Australia, held at the University of Indonesia
- 28 Jan- 1 Feb 2013 Australia's national Linux conference will be held in Canberra, a great place to meet up with others in the open source community. The conference can offer some financial support (involvement in projects such as Wikipedia is one of the criteria).
