As of 29 November 2009, I am a General Member of the Wikimedia Australia [[Committee]]. Prior to the AGM, I wrote a [[2009-2010 AGM/Ordinary member/Andrew Owens|candidate statement]] which sums up both what I see as the issues facing us and what needs to be done about them. Hi, my name is Andrew Owens.
I'm based in Perth and am most active on English Wikipedia, although I also participate at Commons and Wikisource. I hope to be able to help out in WA especially with the education sector where I have an interest.
As of 29 November 2009, I am a General Member of the Wikimedia Australia Committee, and am running for the same position again at the 2010 AGM. Prior to the 2009 AGM, I wrote a candidate statement which sums up both what I see as the issues facing us and what needs to be done about them.
