Join the Women in Religion for this online follow up session as part of their wiki-week editing extravaganza for International Women's Day. Led by Kerrie Burn of the University of Divinity, the Australian Women in Religion Project team has been tirelessly collecting, sorting and uploading data, as well as editing and creating articles about Australian women. This is also the Australian contribution to the wider 1000 Women in Religion Project which aims to raise up the unrecognised work of important women in religion and to help address the gender bias on platforms like Wikipedia. Still today, only about 18% of biographical articles on Wikipedia are about women.
The project will build on more than 100 articles already made as part of the project.
No experience required. Wikipedia editing training provided as well as light refreshments. Beginners welcome!
