I am a lecturer in Writing Studies at the University of Sydney and teach argumentation, rhetoric, professional, academic and encyclopedic writing. A course I created, coordinate and teach, Writing for the Digital Age, is a for-credit Open Learning Environment unit (OLE). OLEs are designed to broaden students' knowledge and experience, taking them outside of their disciplinary boundaries. I now also coordinate short (2cp) OLEs in Wikidata, Professionalism in the Workplace, and Public Speaking.

Before I began teaching writing studies, I completed degrees in archaeology and religious studies and wrote my doctorate on Dante's eschatology, then completed formal training in higher education teaching.
