Franklin Women is excited to be hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on World Health Day to increase the online representation of women working in health and medical research.
It's back!! We are thrilled to announce that our second Franklin Women Edit-a-thon will be held on Thursday 7th April 2022.

Did you know that there is a serious gender bias on Wikipedia, one of the world’s most-visited websites? Only 19% of the people profiled on Wikipedia are women. This means that many talented women (and their work) are not getting the recognition they deserve, as well as critically skewing perceptions about the contributions that women make to society.

Wikipedia Edit-a-thons are a wonderful (and fun!) way to combat this bias and make the internet just that little bit better.
