Notification letter for 2019 AGM

Dear Wikimedia Australia Member,

This email is to advise that the committee of Wikimedia Australia Inc. has resolved to hold the Annual General Meeting of the association, to take place at 5pm Melbourne time, via Skype, on Sunday 25th August 2019.

The agenda for this meeting will be to receive the committee's reports for the year just passed, and also to announce the management committee for the forthcoming year. The committee election will take place prior to the meeting via online voting, as in previous years, and as permitted by Rule 23(6)(b).

Financial members of the Association are entitled to attend and vote at this meeting. Members who wish to attend are required to advise the Secretary (secretary@wikimedia.org.au) of their intended Skype username no later than 24 hours before the start of the meeting.

00:00, Thursday 8 August 2019 - Nominations Open for committee members If you wish to stand or nominate someone for the committee the procedure is as follows:

You need a nominator and a seconder, both of whom must be current Wikimedia Australia financial members.

Both need to email secretarywikimedia.org.au

Once nominated, the nominee also needs to send an email accepting their nomination

Once the secretary has received all three emails, they will reply confirming the nomination has been accepted.

The secretary shall as soon as practicable thereafter publish the nomination on the Wiki under the 2019 AGM page.

23:59, Thursday 15 August 2019- Nominations close (10pm AWST, 11:30pm ACST).

09:00, Friday 16 August 2019 - Voting for new committee begins

Details for voting, if any, will be announced thereafter and the election software will send voting keys individually to qualified voters.
