Artbank

Artbank is an Australian art rental program established in 1980 by the Australian Government. The program supports contemporary Australian artists by purchasing their artworks and renting them to public and private sector clients.

In 2024 and 2025, Wikimedia Australia partnered with Artbank to hold editathons that focused on gender equity in Australian visual arts. These hands on workshops also provided participants with access to Artbank's research resources, collection and library.
