Emily's statement

I wish to offer myself as a candidate for the Wikimedia Australia board. I am passionate about supporting the volunteer work that our members, editors, and contributors give so willingly of their time. Their dedication is the foundation of everything Wikimedia achieves.

Wikimedia stands as the world's largest volunteer-driven knowledge project, and the opportunity to be part of that mission is something I am both committed to and genuinely excited about. I offer myself in service of this community and its work.

At the same time, I recognise that I will be one voice among many. I understand the depths of expertise that exists across our movement, and I will always listen to and defer to the knowledge of others where it exceeds my own.
