Mylee's Statement

I have been involved with Wikipedia and Wikimedia as an editor, GLAM worker (SLNSW) and on international groups including the GLAMWIKI 2015 program committee for The Hague (Netherlands) and the global Wikipedia and Libraries Working group for two terms.

My personal interest is in contributing references and factual information that includes First Nations people and perspectives, Australian biographical information as well as coaching and training new editors.

I was fortunate to be trained by 99of9, wittylama and white.ghost who shaped my understanding of the difference between significance and notability - a key aspect of GLAM contributions to Wikipedia. Being on the GLAMWIKI committee introduced me to the global community and highlighted the value of contributing to free knowledge for the benefit of people everywhere.
