Mission
Wikimedia Australia supports the mission of the Wikimedia Foundation, to empower and engage people around the world to collect and develop educational content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally.
Purpose
- To grow and promote the development and sharing of free knowledge through open source software systems
- To develop educational resources to grow participation in Wikimedia platforms and projects
- To increase public awareness and support for Wikimedia platforms and projects

Activity Plan
The Strategic Plan 2022-2025 is accompanied by a three-year activity plan.
Strategic Plan Review Schedule
The Strategic Plan 2022-2025 was adopted on 21 March 2022. It is to be reviewed and updated annually from March 2023.
