The Record: Art Music Edit-a-thon

Australian musicians are missing from Wikipedia. The Australian Music Centre is doing something about it. Learn, edit and write the record.

Wikimedia Australia and the Australia Council for the Arts present 'The Record - Australian Music on Wikipedia', a new initiative that aims to grow the low number of Wikipedia articles about Australian musicians, organisations and publications over the next six months.

In partnership with the Australian Music Centre, meet online and learn to edit the Wikipedia pages of your favourite art music artists.

Wikipedia is one of the most popular websites in the world written by an international community of volunteer editors. When you search something online, Wikipedia is often the top result, with information boxes on Google sourced from its pages.

Guest speaker Kirsty Rivers from the Australia Council for the Arts will open the event, and training will be provided by Wikimedia Australia.

No experience required! Just register to receive the link, sign up for a Wikipedia account in advance and then join the fun.

Let's work together to improve the visibility of Australian Music!
