WikiCon Australia 2026 submission are open
We invite you to submit your proposals for sessions at WikiCon Australia 2026. Whether you are interested in presenting a lightning talk, leading a workshop, or engaging in a roundtable discussion, we want to hear from you!

Session types
- Lightning talk
- Presenter gives a talk with follow-up by the audience at the end of the lightning session. The total time for a lightning talk will be 8-10 minutes; there will be Q & A at the end.
- Talk
- A presentation followed by questions and comments from the audience. The total time for a talk will be 30 minutes.
- Workshop
- A topic with active interaction with the audience. The total time for a workshop will be 60 - 120 minutes.
- Roundtable
- Panel of 3 - 4 speakers with at least 1 moderator.
- Meetup
- A group of people with common interests informally meets to discuss different topics. The total time for a meetup is not pre-determined and depends on the proposer’s preferences.
Please note that all sessions will be recorded unless otherwise specified, and all slides and supporting materials should be freely licensed.

When is WikiCon Australia 2026?
WikiCon Australia 2026 will be held in Canberra on Saturday, 11 and Sunday, 12 April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for Australian Wikimedians and enthusiasts to come together to share knowledge and collaborate on projects that enhance the Wikimedia movement.
