Wikidata turns 13!
Wikidata was created with the vision of providing a central storage for structured data that can be used across all its Wikimedia sister projects, like Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Wiktionary, Wikisource, and others. Launched in 2012, this remarkable project has grown into an essential resource for data sharing and retrieval, supporting not only Wikipedia, but other applications and services globally.
This year for Wikidata's 13th birthday, Wikimedia communities around the globe are organising birthday meetups, workshops, edit-a-thons, livestreams, hackathons, and much more!
