Wikipedia Asian Month is an annual online event in November that promotes Asian content on Wikipedia. Participating communities help create or improve content about Asia, and the representation of Asian art and visual culture on open-source knowledge platforms. The joys and challenges of Wikipedia for Mongolia — what can we learn from small language projects that make big global impacts?

In celebration of Wikipedia Asian Month in late 2024, Wikimedia Australia invited longtime Melbourne-based Wikipedia editor and administrator Chinto to present online to our community. Chinto discussed strategies for contributing to small language projects, including tips on translations, writing articles to Wikidata entries and adding photos to Wikimedia Commons.
