Indigenous self-determination is important. Mob learning how to edit, improve, and add content related to us to Wikipedia is essential. If helping to shape our stories on a resource seen worldwide and giving us greater visibility is important to you, come along to our Wikipedia Editathon.

Thursday June 22 - 10 AM - 1 PM - The Edge, State Library of Queensland.

No experience is necessary. Our First Nations Wikipedian In Residence and another experienced Wikipedia editor will teach you. We’ll be focusing on First Nations music creators, composers, artists, and organisations. The skills you learn will set you up to edit any Wikipedia content.

Bring your own laptop or tablet and connect to our free wi-fi or use one of our devices. (A limited number of library devices will be available for use at the event).

Please sign up for a Wikipedia account prior to the workshop.

Lunch provided from an Indigenous owned and operated independent business. If any of you mob in the area have any questions or need $ assistance to get to us on the day for the event, please get in contact. contact@wikimedia.org.au
