1Lib1Ref stands for “One Librarian, One Reference”. It's a campaign by librarians around the world (and anyone who has a passion for free knowledge!) to add a missing references to articles on Wikipedia.
How to get involved:

Join us online to learn how to edit Wikipedia and Wikidata.

Participate in the campaign through five easy steps:
- Find an article that needs a citation. There are many ways to do this.
- You can use Citation Hunt
- Finding an article with sourcing problems - keep an eye out for the words [citation needed] when on Wikipedia.
- Select an article to review and update the citation while browsing
- Select an article while browsing
- Use your Librarian Super Powers to find a reliable source to support the citation in the article.
- Add a citation using Wikipedia's citation tool. You can use any ISBN, doi or URL!
- Add the hashtag #1Lif1Ref in the edit summary
- Click publish
