Alison Smith
Communications and Project Coordinator, Wikimedia Australia
"Wikipedians are not professionals, they are only asked to bring what they know. Everyone brings their crumb of information to the table. If they are not at the table, we don't benefit from their crumb." — Sue Gardner (Wikiquote)

About me

Ali's background is in communications, digital literacy, education, training and administration. She has worked in local government, libraries, ministerial companies and for small training providers.

My work

Ali looks after the organisation's social media, website updates, and newsletters, and helps coordinate projects and campaigns that support Australia's free knowledge community. Her work spans writing, editing, and the behind-the-scenes wrangling that keeps communications running smoothly.
