Revision as of 01:34, 26 March 2024 by Ali Smith (talk | contribs) (→‎Need Stickers?: updated dashboard link)

1Lib1Ref stands for “One Librarian, One Reference”. It's a campaign by librarians around the world (and anyone who has a passion for free knowledge!) to add a missing references to articles on Wikipedia.

How to get involved:

You can participate in the campaign through five easy steps:

  1. Find an article that needs a citation. You can use Citation Hunt or keep an eye out for the words [citation needed] when on Wikipedia.
  2. Use your Librarian Super Powers to find a reliable source to support the citation in the article.
  3. Add a citation using Wikipedia's citation tool. You can use any ISBN, doi or URL!
  4. Add the hashtag #1Lif1Ref in the edit summary
  5. Click publish.
