  • Discussion of gadgets, lua, mediawiki development was very fractured
  • Mailman has issues but upgrading is a big job
  • Discord platform tested for technical discussion
  • Now being tested more broadly
  • Benefits:
  • gathered topics, tags etc
  • not threaded
  • moderation capabilities (general and per-topic)
  • can be used fully in-email
  • Events can be viewed as calendar and map and are machine-readable

  • Report summarising comm meetings from the committee for the community webinar

Possible items for next meetings

  • Reaching people who don't know about WMAU or who are only peripherally involved
  • Wikipedians in residence discussions and proposals
  • Monthly cross-city editing meetups
  • Short updates on upcoming and recent events
  • Some open meeting discussion structure and how to form partnerships
