Now accepting applications for Partner Projects 2024-2025 Expressions of interest for 2024-2025 Partner Projects are open. Wikimedia Australia is seeking Australian organisations & individuals for projects that align with our equity, inclusion, and capacity-building priorities. Apply by 20 September.
Wikipedia to enhance student communication skills Staff from Charles Sturt University and La Trobe University partnered with Wikimedia Australia to develop an active learning exercise analysing the readability, accuracy and authorship of Wikipedia articles and generative AI tools, within a context of science communication. Academic staff are invited to join us on Zoom to look at the results from the assessment trialled in Semester 1, and then collaborate in the design of active learning exercises and assessments related to subjects/courses that they teach.

Wiki Loves Women: SheSaid

The #SheSaid drive, part of the Wiki Loves Women initiative, celebrates women leaders by focusing on enhancing their visibility through the creation and improvement of Wikiquote entries related to them. The impact of the #SheSaid campaign on Wikiquote has been truly remarkable, with over 15,555 new articles created or edited in 18 different languages across the last three editions.
