Australian Wikimedian hits 100,000 edits!

Australian mentor and dedicated Wikipedian, Ann Reynolds, has recently achieved a significant milestone by completing her 100,000th edit on Wikipedia. Congratulations, Ann!

Know My Name Regional Gallery Tour

In 2024, Wikimedia Australia is partnering with the National Gallery of Australia to support the Know My Name Regional touring exhibition. The exhibition will visit five regional towns with the theme “Making Women Count”. For the first stop on the tour, we visited Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and held an edit-a-thon. The Dowling Collection is now on Wikimedia Commons

The Alice Springs Public Library have successfully uploaded images from their Donald Dowling Collection to Wikimedia Commons. This collection, consisting of over 240 images, primarily relates to World War II in Alice Springs, Hermannsburg and Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory. Read about the project.
