Matters for decision
WoW conference Australian community day
MOTION: That Wikimedia Australia funds $3,000 towards the Friday venue and catering costs for the WoW Conference Australia Day. Rationale: Due to the restricted numbers and specific program priorities for the ESEAP conference, the Worlds of Wikimedia conference is the more appropriate/interesting option for most Australian community members. There has been a need to move WoW to a larger venue, and a request for Wikimedia Australia to support the WoW conference in this way. This directly benefits our community, and supports the partnership with University of Sydney.
UNSW edit-a-thon
MOTION: Caddie Brain has applied for WMAU to support an edit-a-thon and panel about women in STEM being run in October by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to the amount of $400 for catering costs.
The application and details are here: https://wikimedia.org.au/wiki/Women_in_STEM_Edit-a-Thon_and_Panel
